Where love makes progress: Supporting the Center for Children with Disabilities

Where love makes progress: Universal Capital Bank and Visa donate €10.000 to NGO Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Podgorica
Universal Capital Bank AD Podgorica, in partnership with Visa, implemented the third in a series of six planned donations as part of the successful humanitarian project “Works that are recognized”. Through this project with heart and deep respect, we have reached a place of exceptional courage and selfless commitment - NGO Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Podgorica.

This time, the focus was on supporting inclusion and improving the quality of life of the youngest: A donation of 10.000 euros was presented to the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities. The donation is intended to improve the working conditions of the Association and to provide the necessary resources for therapeutic work and education of children, thereby directly influencing their progress and development of potential.
On the occasion of the donation, Nikola Vujošević, Member of the Board of Directors of Universal Capital Bank, pointed out that this support is a key part of their vision of responsible business:
“This donation is not just financial aid, it is our voice of support for inclusion. We want to help create a safe haven, where every small step forward is celebrated as a big victory. Our goal is to enable the professional staff of the Association to continue their noble work and to provide children with access to resources that pave the way for them to independence and active participation in the life of the community. We believe that the proof of true partnership and responsibility lies in the recognition of quiet heroism: the courage of children facing challenges, and the unreserved love of parents and therapists. Through 'Works That Recognize, 'we want to tell them: You are not alone. This donation is dedicated to you — to provide you with the best working conditions, to make the path to progress easier and to make every day filled with new discoveries. We will continue to act where it is most needed, because only love and care for the most vulnerable create true progress.”

The NGO Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Podgorica expressed deep gratitude for the recognized importance of their mission:
“The NGO Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Podgorica as part of its activities employs 5 physiotherapists who carry out physical therapy for children and young people with disabilities and adults with disabilities, who are members of this Association. From the donation of Universal Capital Bank AD Podgorica, the Association will purchase equipment for the work of physiotherapists such as verticalization bed, paraffin pot, electrotherapy apparatus and ultrasound, which will further raise the quality of services provided by this NGO for children and young people with disabilities. Through this NGO, the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Podgorica thanks Universal Capital Bank AD Podgorica for a valuable monetary donation that will significantly help to improve the quality of physiotherapeutic work and services for users in this Association.”

The project “Works that are recognized” is part of the long-term strategy of socially responsible business of Universal Capital Bank and Visa, which aims to support the most important segments of society — from children and health institutions, to elderly citizens and environmental protection. With the realization of this third donation, the Bank and Visa once again confirmed that the true value of the business lies in the positive impact on the local community.
