S€PA - Faster, safer and more affordable international payments

Since October 7, 2025, Universal Capital Bank AD Podgorica customers can easily and securely send and receive payments in euros thanks to joining the SEPA payment scheme (Single Euro Payments Area).

SEPA enables standardised euro payments to customers in 41 countries and territories, with transparent costs and faster order processing.

What is S€PA?

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a common payment framework within which citizens, businesses and institutions can easily, conveniently and securely carry out payment transactions in euro. Pays under the SEPA scheme are only possible in EUR currency and only between members of the SEPA zone.

Standard: 1 working day.

2. What are the costs?

The first daily SEPA transaction of individuals up to 200 EUR is free; other transfers are charged at defined tariffs.

3. Can I use SEPA for payments in other currencies?

No — SEPA transactions are exclusively in euros.

4. Can I send SEPA payments to Serbia?

Not at the moment. Transactions with Serbia will be possible from May 2026

5. What if I enter the wrong IBAN?
