Distinguished clients,

We want to inform you that out of 1. May launches a new Mastercard campaign that will last until 31. May 2022. Years.

During this period, all Mastercard cardholders who make a minimum of 3 online payments with a total value of EUR 1 automatically qualify for a refund of EUR 5 to the account to which the card is linked.

Refunds can be obtained by all users who make online payments at domestic Internet merchants, from any device (computer, tablet, phone).

Cash back will be made by the 15th day of the month following the month in which the last qualifying card purchase was made in accordance with these Rules listed below. Each Mastercard card has the option of receiving one refund for the duration of the campaign.

Mastercard Pay & Get Rewards Program in Montenegro

Program Campaign Rules (“Rules”) for publishers participating in the Program

  1. Introduction— MASTERCARD EUROPE SA, registered office at Chaussee de Tervuren 198 a, Waterloo, Belgium, registration number 0448.038.446 ('Mastercard Company“) as a foreign legal entity introduces the Mastercard Pay & Get Rewards Program (”Programm”) in Montenegro.

Due to the fact that Mastercard does not carry out business activity in the territory of Montenegro, the Issuer of Mastercard debit or credit card is responsible for the implementation of the Program on the territory of the Republic of Montenegro and therefore has an obligation under the Consumer Protection Act (“Official Gazette of the CG” no. 2/2014, 6/2014, 43/2015, 70/2017, 67/2019 and 146/2021) to publish the offer for convenience of sale.

Mastercard hereby establishes the following Program Rules for Issuers participating in the Program.

The program begins on May 1 and ends on May 31, 2022.

The program is organized on the territory of Montenegro.

The rules will be published at: https://www.mastercard.rs/sr-rs/korisnici/pogodnosti-i-promocije/montenegro.html, as well as on the websites of the participating banks in a form of their choice.

  1. Definitions— In these Rules:

Account“means the Card account (if any) opened in the name of the Issuer's Card User.

Treaty“means the agreement between the Issuer's Card User and his/her Issuer regarding the issuance of the Card.

BIN“indicates the identification number of the bank.

Card“means a Mastercard card, issued in the name of a natural person, bearing the brand of the Mastercard Company and issued by the Issuer. The card does not mean Prepaid (non-reloadable) top-up cards, Maestro or any other commercial card issued by a bank or other payment institution.

Refund“means the refund available to the Issuer's Card User under this Program.

Home trader“means a merchant who has a registered office in Montenegro and who has signed a card payment processing agreement with a bank headquartered in Montenegro that has a license to process card payments by Mastercard.

Qualified Purchases/Qualified Purchases“means any purchase (s) made “online”, that is, over the internet using the Card and in compliance with these Rules.

In writing“means any written communication, including in electronic form (such as e-mail messages).

Issuer“means the bank or other payment institution that issued the Card, that is:

  • UNIVERSAL CAPITAL BANK AD PODGORICA;

Issuer card user“means the natural or legal person, in whose name the Account has been opened by the Issuer.

Mastercard Company“means the business company MASTERCARD EUROPE SA.

Programm“stands for Mastercard Pay & Get Rewards Sales Benefit in Montenegro that allows Cashback based on Qualifying Purchases.

Web site“indicates the website, which is available at www.mastercard.rs.

  1. Qualification and Refund— With a qualified purchase, during the period of the Program, the Issuer's card User acquires the right to participate in this Program. By complying with these Rules, the Issuer Card User will be entitled to a Sales Benefit (Refund) in accordance with the Rules (as defined below).

Cards that have made at least 3 or more Qualified Purchases with Domestic Merchants in the total minimum amount of €1 are entitled to a €5 Refund, for a period up to the 15th day of the month following the month in which the last Qualified Card purchase was made in accordance with these Rules.

For the avoidance of doubt, the restrictions regarding purchases with the Card in the online shops of Domestic Merchants depend solely on each Issuer.

Transactions that will be excluded from the Program are those that belong to one of the internationally defined Merchant Category Codes (MCC) categories defined below:

  • 6536 MoneySend Intracountry
  • 6537 MoneySend Intercountry
  • 6538 MoneySend Fundraising
  • 6010 Manual Cash Disbursements—Customer Financial Institution
  • 6011 Automated Cash Disbursements—Customer Financial Institution
  • 7995 Gambling Transactions
  • 4829 Money Transfer—Merchant
  • 6050 Quasi Cash—Customer Financial Institution
  • 6051 Quasi Cash—Merchant
  • 6012 Merchandise and Services—Customer Financial Institution
  • 6534 Payment Transaction
  • 6533 Payment Transaction—Merchant
  • 6540 POI Funding Transactions (Excluding MoneySend)
  • 9754 Gambling—Horse Racing, Dog Racing, Non-Sports Internet Gambling
  • 6532 PSP — Member Payment Transaction
  • 6529 Remote Stored Value Load
  • 6530 Remote Stored Value Load
  • 6211 Gambling Transactions

The right to a Refund under this Program may be exercised only once per unique Card number for the duration of the Program.

Mastercard shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from any interaction between the Issuer Card User and the Home Merchant and/or Issuer in connection with Qualifying Purchases.

The Issuer's card user will receive a fixed Refund in the amount of 5 euros in case of fulfilling the defined conditions of the sales benefit. The amount of 5 euros will be paid to the Issuer Card User as an individual reward per card by the Issuer.

  1. Participanță— To participate in the Program, Issuer Card Users must comply with the provisions of the Agreement and these Rules, and the Card with which Issuer Card Users participate in the Program must be active. In the event that the Issuer cancels or blocks the Card, the participation of the Issuer Card User in the Program may be suspended by the Issuer. Mastercard may revoke the Issuer's Cardholder's participation in the Program and cancel any Cashback to which the Issuer's entitlement has already been exercised (except for a Refund that has already been paid to the Issuer's Cardholder's account) if the Issuer Card User fails to comply with any of the Rules.
  2. Information— The Issuer's card user may verify the Refund received by any possible means provided by the Issuer (including, but not limited to, mobile banking, internet banking, electronic statement).
  3. Suspension of Right to Refund— In certain circumstances, Issuer card users may lose their right to a Refund.

Refunds may be cancelled immediately if any of the following occurs:

  • Issuer card users violate the provisions of the Agreement with their Issuer;
  • Cancellations of Qualified Purchases;
  • Issuer card users violate any provision of this Policy.

In case of violation of the Rules by the Issuer Card User, the Issuer will notify the Issuer Card User of the cancellation of the Refund or suspension of the right to a Refund.

  1. Termination of participation— Closure of the Account or Card will be considered as the desire of the Issuer Card User to terminate participation in the Program.
  2. Programmatic funding— Funding of the Refund is limited by the Program budget.
  3. Interruption— Mastercard reserves the right to terminate the Program if circumstances occur that Mastercard could not have known or could not have foreseen, prevented, or remedied, such as for example due to natural disasters, epidemics, civil unrest, war destruction, acts of authorities affecting the performance of obligations, and the like, which circumstances directly or indirectly affect the financial market and currency stability, that is, on the state of market exchange rates.
  4. Severability of provisionsIf any provision of these Rules or any part thereof is held to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, then such provision shall be severed from these Rules and shall not affect the legal force and enforceability of any other provisions. These Rules shall supersede all prior agreements, disclosures and presentations relating to the Program. If any details of the Program conflict with these Rules, then the Rules will take precedence, unless otherwise indicated. Mastercard's failure to exercise any of its rights under this Policy will not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  5. Applicable law and language— these Rules are written in English and Montenegrin languages and are regulated by the laws of Montenegro. In the event of any discrepancies or inconsistencies, the English language version of the Rules shall prevail.
